自 Acronis Cyber Protect 第 17 版，以及 Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud C25.08 發行版本起，Agent for VMware 在需要時（當連接到 vCenter／ESXi 主機版本為 7.x 或更舊時），會嘗試自動下載缺少的舊版 VMware VDDK（Virtual Disk Development Kit）或 VixAPI。然而，在某些情況下，此自動下載過程可能會失敗。
